Capsho and flower pots

Time-tested classic. Plants in pots or luminous pots made of this material feel great. Due to the structure of the clay, it is possible to evaporate excess moisture through the pores of the material and supply oxygen to the roots of the flower. In clay containers, moisture practically does not stagnate, which prevents root rot and the loss of white bloom on the soil in the pot.

Ceramic bowls can have various shapes and optimal weight, which gives stability, but with all the advantages, there are also some drawbacks. Clay containers are very fragile and quite expensive.

Summary of the article:

Plastic pots

Plastic pots have recently become very popular due to their low cost and variety of shapes and colors. Plastic containers are unstable due to insufficient weight.

A negative feature of plastic in this case is tightness, that is, the inability to pass oxygen, thus to the retention of irrigation moisture and rotting of the roots. Stagnant water, especially in winter, leads to such troubles as midges in flower pots.

Glass containers

Glass containers can also be found in the assortment of florist shops. But they are not very popular with flower growers due to the nature of the material. Glass breaks quickly and does not deliver oxygen to the roots. But as an element of decor it looks good.

Containers for home flowers must necessarily have a drainage hole. This is important so that the soil in the flower pot does not become waterlogged, and the excess watering is removed outside. Pots with a drainage hole are intended for growing houseplants.
